Complete Description:
The breathing hose assembly is part of the divers bio-mechanical connection to the CCR. The breathing hose assembly has four EPDM corrugated breathing hoses that allows for breathing gases bio-matter and water to pass through them. The breathing hoses are connected to the ISC standard DSV or the ISC BOV and to two partitioned shoulder tees that divert water and breathing gas media into the counter lungs and water traps. The partitioned tees help protect the diver from accidental breathing loop flooding and caustic cocktails and give early warning of a flood to the diver by gurgling in the right inhalation hose. ISC is the only manufacturer that has full partitions in each tee. Each tee has double O-ring seals and large locking nuts that are easily turned and secured into the counter lungs. Another important aspect is the breathing hoses do not float like other CCR systems and do not need to be counter weighted by the diver, that also means if the diver loses the breathing hoses by accident the breathing hoses are easily found and water cleared like a snorkel by the diver. The DSV and breathing hose assembly has been tested for toxic VOC’s by the HSE and U.S. Navy.
