Complete Description:

The over the shoulder lungs is an industry standard for CCR’s.  OTS lungs sit on top of the divers shoulders and go down the divers chest.  The OTS lungs have the benefits for very low work of breathing in most diving positions in the water column, excellent water trapping and modularity. The OTS lungs also provide for easy ambidextrous access to all critical gas bypass valves on the front of the diver. The diver may remove OTS lungs easily for disinfecting and travel, they may also be used on a variety of harnesses. The ISC OTS lungs have vent valve for water and gas expulsion, Oxygen manual bypass, Automatic demand valve (ADV) with isolator, Mixed gas bypass (MGB) for outboard gas connection and back up for Oxygen manual bypass, and two tee piece couplings with opposing threads preventing accidental wrong assembly of the breathing hoses and heavy castellation preventing the crushing and collapse of the counter lung preventing breathing.

ots lungs profileSome divers do not like the “clutter feel” of the front and it can be hard to find the shoulder d-ring to secure stage or bailout cylinders, but this is not an issue when the diver learns the excellent benefits of the OTS lungs and techniques to avoid these simple diver perceived inconveniences.
